{{/presale}}Introducing the 1924 Peace Dollar Silver Coin, now available at Provident Metals. Step back in time to a historic moment – in a November 1918 issue of the Numismatist, Frank Duffield proposed a victory coin after World War I, envisioning it to be as abundant as it is valuable. Three years later, the US Mint struck the first Peace Dollar Silver Coins, marking a pivotal moment in history. Order yours today.
Highlights:
The 1924 Peace Dollar Silver Coin from Provident Metals, arrives in a PCGS or an NGC protective slab, ensuring the enduring MS65 condition. Your coin will be selected at random but will have this MS65 grade. With an MS65 rating, these coins exhibit above-average mint luster, minimal scattered contact marks, and the potential for a couple of minor marks and hairlines.
Obverse
Turn your gaze to the obverse of the 1924 Dollar Silver Coin, where Lady Liberty takes center stage. Crafted by Anthony de Francisci and inspired by his wife Teresa, Liberty is portrayed in graceful left-profile relief, adorned with a dignified crown. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and 1924.
Reverse
On the reverse, find an eagle at rest on the 1924 Peace Silver Coin. Perched atop a rocky cliff, the bald eagle clutches an olive branch in its talons, as radiant sunbeams shine from beneath. Inscriptions read E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE.
History
The legacy of Peace Dollar Silver Coins dates back to over a century ago. Minted between 1921-1928, then again from 1934-1935, and resumed in 2021, these coins hold a history of over 190 million striking impressions. Anthony de Francisci’s design triumphed in a design competition, producing both iconic obverse and reverse motifs. As in this listing, coins lacking a mint mark originate from the Philadelphia Mint.
