Obverse

Reverse

In 1924, during the spirited era of the Roaring Twenties, the American economy rebounded after World War I, leading to increased international trade. This year witnessed one of the highest mintages for the $20 Gold Double Eagle, with a total of 10,300,500 coins struck. The Philadelphia Mint led in production, followed by the Denver Mint (3.049 million) and the San Francisco Mint (2.927 million).

Some coins may have a few small marks scattered across the field or two larger marks. Occasionally, you may find one or two small patches of hairlines.
