While the United States and Cuba are bitter adversaries today, there was a period of time when Cuba was a protectorate of the US and the United States Mint was actually responsible for striking the silver and gold coins used in circulation on the island. During the early 20th century, the United States oversaw Cuba as a United States Protectorate, supervising its foreign relations and finances. Provident Metals now has 1916 10 Peso Cuba Gold Coins available to purchase online.
