{{/presale}}The United States Treasury debuted the Federal Reserve Notes that Americans still use to this day in 1914. However, the notes issued then were larger than the notes now in the hands and wallets of Americans in the 21st century. These historic Federal Reserve Notes from 1914 and 1918 were the only ones ever issued in the so-called horse blanket sizing. Provident Metals currently offers Very Fine condition 1914 $10 Federal Reserve Notes to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 1914 $10 Federal Reserve Note in this Provident Metals listing, the notes arrive in Very Fine condition. Acceptable conditions for a Very Fine note range from moderate signs of circulation, medium soiling, and numerous folds to light signs of circulation, light soiling, and a maximum of 10 fold lines. Each note comes with its own protective plastic currency sleeve.
We cannot guarantee in advance the exact signs of wear and tear youll find on the note you receive. We select your notes at random after your payment has been processed and in-stock items at that time determine which notes you get. There is also the potential to receive notes with red ink on the serial numbers and Treasury seal or blue ink, with blue ink far more common. If you buy several notes, these factors could all match or vary.
Obverse
The obverse side of 1914 $10 Federal Reserve Notes comes with a portrait of President Andrew Jackson. This design was used on the note from 1914 when it debuted until 1927, the last year of issue for large-sized Federal Reserve Notes. This side of the note has the serial numbers and US Treasury seal. You will also find a stamp identifying the Federal Reserve Bank branch that distributed the notes. These can vary on the note or notes you receive.
Reverse
On the reverse face of the 1914 $10 Federal Reserve Notes is a vignette of American economic prowess. The design on the left reflects the robust agricultural industry in the United States, with the design on the right showcasing the booming manufacturing base in the United States at this time.
History
1914 Series Federal Reserve Notes were the first and only issue of Federal Reserve Notes as large-sized notes. These notes are slightly larger than the notes the US Treasury now produces.
