Each 1911-D Pre-33 $20 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coin is graded Mint State 63. Coins in this grade display slight wear with small contact marks and a few heavier marks visible under magnification. Despite this, they retain much of their original luster and design.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 1911-D $20 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle Coin, Lady Liberty is shown standing tall, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. In the background, the U.S. Capitol Building is visible, with rays of sunlight radiating outward and a ring of stars surrounding her. This powerful and symbolic design represents freedom and unity. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, 1911, and the D mint mark.
Reverse
On the reverse of 1911-D Pre-33 Double Eagle Gold Coins, a majestic American bald eagle is depicted in flight. The eagle is shown with its wings raised and soaring through the sky, with the sun rising below. This powerful image symbolizes the strength and independence of the United States. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, TWENTY DOLLARS, and IN GOD WE TRUST.
History
The Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle was designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, who was commissioned by President Theodore Roosevelt to create a new, more modern coin design for the U.S. Saint-Gaudens’ creation is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful U.S. coins ever minted.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
