Obverse
The obverse of the 1890-CC $20 Liberty Double Eagle Coin shows a left-facing portrait of Lady Liberty. She wears a coronet inscribed with Liberty, and her hair flows in curls. Surrounding her are 13 stars, a symbol of the original colonies. Inscriptions include LIBERTY and 1890.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1890-CC Liberty Double Eagle Coin features the Great Seal of the United States. Youll see the American eagle with a shield on its chest, arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in the other. Type III coins include the motto “In God We Trust” and display the denomination more prominently. The inscriptions here include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, TWENTY DOLLARS, and the CC mint mark.
