History
The 1886 $1 Silver Certificate was issued initially with small US Treasury stamps with red ink. Other versions included large stamps with red ink and large stamps with brown ink, with the final version boasting a small, scalloped shield with red ink. The Register of the United States throughout the release of these notes was William Rosecrans, while the Treasurer of the United States included signatures from Jordan, Hyatt, Huston, and Nebecker.
