Carson City Double Eagles are widely recognized for their CC mintmark and their limited mintages compared to coins from Philadelphia and San Francisco. The relatively low production numbers from the Carson City Mint led to the emergence of several rarities in the Liberty series, with a few years producing fewer than 5,000 coins. The scarcity of these coins, paired with their Western mint history and gold content, has made them a valuable part of numismatic collections. Today, Provident Metals offers 1882-CC $20 Liberty Double Eagle Gold Coins for purchase online.
