{{/presale}}Although Engelhard Corporation is no longer involved in the precious metals industry, that doesnt mean you wont find their products still floating around with dealers. Engelhard silver bars are trusted products that originated at a company with more than 100 years in the precious metals industry. Today, you can get 100 oz Silver Bars from Engelhard online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Engelhard Corporation was founded in 1902 by Charles W. Engelhard in New Jersey. The company started as the result of Engelhards purchase of the Charles F. Croselmire Company and later expanded with founding of the American Platinum Works in 1903 and later purchase of Baker & Co. Engelhard made an early name for itself as a platinum refiner and smelter.
Designs
On the obverse of the 100 oz Silver Bar from Engelhard, you will find the identifying hallmarks of the item arranged in landscape orientation. Along the top of the design field are the markings of 999+, FINE SILVER, and 100 TR. OZ. The middle of the design field has the Engelhard brands so-called triangle logo, an inscription that includes ENGELHARD in large, block letters, with a triangle dangling below the A. The bottom of the bars design comes with a serial number. The reverse field is blank.
History
Engelhard Corporations primary contribution to the 20th century was the development of the catalytic converter for internal combustion engines. By the 1980s, it was also well known for its gold, silver, and platinum bars, as well as silver rounds.
Ordering
These 100 oz Silver Bars are struck specimens with strong, distinct edges and a rectangular shape. Each bar has incuse-struck designs with elements and inscriptions sunk into the surface rather than engraved with raised, 3D relief.
