With each passing year, a new state joins the series, a testament to the soaring appeal of Goldbacks. Obverse

The obverse face of the 10 South Dakota Goldback Note captivates with the visage of Harmonia, the embodiment of harmony in Greek mythology. Poised as if ready to release an arrow from her bow, Harmonia is accompanied by a collection of animals, including a dog, deer, and birds.

Reverse

Turning to the reverse side of the 10 South Dakota Gold Note, a reflective image of the obverse takes center stage. The incredibly thin nature of these Goldbacks necessitates a clean, unobtrusive reverse design that preserves the integrity of the obverse.

History

Each Goldback is adorned with a graceful representation of a cardinal virtue, unique to the state and denomination it represents. South Dakota joins the esteemed ranks of states embracing Goldbacks, following in the footsteps of Utah, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Wyoming. These Goldbacks act as voluntary currency, meaning you can spend them based on the discretion of the vendor.
