{{/presale}}Founded in 1908, the Royal Canadian Mint has grown over the last century-plus to become one of the finest refiners and coin producers in the world. The official sovereign mint of Canada, the Royal Canadian Mint does more than just strike coinage for the nation, it also produces minted ingots and bullion coins. Provident Metals now has 10 oz Silver Bars from the Royal Canadian Mint available to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 10 oz Silver Bar in this Provident Metals listing, you will receive a Secondary Market bar that is packaged in individual plastic bags. These bars from the Royal Canadian Mint are minted ingots with beautiful images of the sugar maple leaf on both sides.
Please keep in mind that Secondary Market bars are those Provident Metals receives from a source other than the Royal Canadian Mint. Secondary Market bars commonly have flaws such as scuffs, scratches, and other scuff marks. It is also possible for the bars to showcase toning, a result of the natural oxidation process. This does not detract from the value of the silver.
Obverse
The obverse of the 10 oz Silver Bar available here comes with a depiction of the Royal Canadian Mint logo. The emblem of the Royal Canadian Mint includes a stylized sugar maple leaf at the center of the seal with the inscriptions of ROYAL CANADIAN MINT and MONNAIE ROYALE CANADIENNE around it. Other markings on this side include two sugar maple leaves with inscriptions of 10 OZ 9999 FINE SILVER ARGENT PUR. There may or may not be a serial number on this side.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 10 oz Silver Bars from the Royal Canadian Mint, you will find a repeating image of the sugar maple leaf. This design is inspired by the stylized leaf from the RCM logo.
History
The first responsibilities of the Royal Canadian Mint in the 1910s were to produce gold and silver ingots. Today, the mint operates both a Winnipeg and Ottawa branch, with the former producing the nations circulation coins and the latter producing its bullion products.
