Goldbacks are a form of voluntary, gold-based currency featuring extremely small amounts of pure gold embedded in each note. With the launch of the Oklahoma Goldback Series in 2025, a new state joins this growing lineup. One of the standard denominations is the 10 Goldback. Today, 10 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Notes are available through Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Comes with an individual currency sleeve!
  • Issued in the brand-new Oklahoma Goldback Series!
  • Unique designs on the 10 Goldback!
  • Contains 1/100 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • Figures in indigenous clothing partake in a ceremonial dance in the design.
  • Goldbacks are NOT US legal tender.
  • UV security feature on the reverse of the note.

Each of the 10 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Notes is packaged in a protective sleeve. These notes are made by layering pure 24-karat gold within flexible polymer sheets. Every denomination in the Oklahoma Goldback lineup has its own distinct design and features a UV security mark on the reverse side.

Design

The design featured on the 10 Oklahoma Goldback depicts Indigenous figures dancing in a ceremonial gathering, with buffalo in the background. This scene honors the deep cultural presence of Native nations throughout Oklahoma and highlights their continuing contributions to the states cultural identity and way of life.

History

Oklahoma became home to a large number of tribal groups following forced relocations in the 1800s. These communities built new lives while maintaining their languages, customs, and self-governance. Today, Oklahoma is second only to Alaska in the number of federally recognized tribes, with 39 calling the state home.
