{{/presale}}Coveted across a number of industries and its supplies limited, platinum is an increasingly valuable precious metal. Its broad use across a range of different industries, limited annual production, and resurgent popularity in the precious metals industry has put strain on platinum and made it a reliable option for investors. Provident Metals currently has the new 10 Gram Platinum Bar from Valcambi Suisse available to purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 10 Gram Platinum Bar in this Provident Metals listing, you will receive an item that is brand new from the mint. Each bar is housed individually inside of a blistercard that features an assay certificate from the mint. The assay authenticates details such as the weight, metal content, and purity of the bar, as well as the individual serial number assigned to the piece.
Obverse
In the obverse design of 10 Gram Platinum Bars from Valcambi, you will find the mint logo at the top, along with important identifiers. The inscriptions on this face of the bar include 10 g, platinum, and 999,5. The bottom of the bar has the assayers mark with an individual serial number assigned. Serial numbers in this series consist of a two-letter, six-number code that is inscribed on the bottom of the design field.
Reverse
For the reverse field of 10 Gram Platinum Bars, Valcambi includes its name in large letters across the left and upper fields of the bar. In the lower-right field, the mint logo is depicted with the square that forms its edge radiating throughout the entire background of the design element. The words Valcambi Suisse are inscribed in large letters that are more easily read if you hold the bar horizontally.
History
Valcambi Suisse was founded in 1961 as Valori & Cambi, with a small group of private investors funding the start of the business. Each one of those investors had an expressed interest in precious metals and founded in Balerna, Switzerland. In 1968, the company was acquired by Credit Suisse, resulting in the modern name of Valcambi Suisse, a nod to both the original company and the influence Credit Suisse had on the growth of the refinery. Today, Valcambi Suisse is wholly owned by Global Gold Refineries Ltd.
