{{/presale}}The remarkable heritage of the U.S. Navy traces back to the American Revolutionary War, marked by the establishment of the Continental Navy on October 13, 1775, in response to British naval supremacy. Today, the United States Navy stands as an eminent global naval force and an integral segment of the formidable United States Armed Forces. Delve into the world of 1 oz Silver United States Armed Forces Navy Rounds, now available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The 1 oz Silver United States Armed Forces Navy Rounds, proudly brought to you by Provident Metals, are freshly minted by SilverTowne Mint. These rounds are available with individual plastic flips and come with a hologram sticker. The round’s design is licensed by the U.S. Navy.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the United States Armed Forces Navy Silver Round, a distinguished emblem pays homage to the US Navy. The emblem showcases a majestic bald eagle bearing the US national shield on its chest, while firmly grasping a substantial anchor.
Reverse
Flipping the round to its reverse, a recurring design element for the series takes center stage, featuring the American flag unfurled as a backdrop with the Stars and Stripes proudly waving. The field carries the poignant inscription: HOME OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE, accompanied by distinct hallmarks.
History
The U.S. Navy’s early feats encompass capturing British ships and providing unwavering support to American forces in pivotal encounters like the Battle of Valcour Island and the Battle of Flamborough Head. Following the Revolutionary War, the U.S. Navy faced a temporary dissolution due to financial constraints, only to be reinstated in response to mounting conflicts with Barbary States and piracy incidents in North Africa. Noteworthy vessels like the USS Constitution were constructed to safeguard American interests and sailors on foreign shores.
