These 1 oz Silver Tombstone Hammered Rounds beautifully encapsulate the spirit of the American West and the historic allure of Tombstone, Arizona. Explore these remarkable pieces at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
At Provident Metals, you have the opportunity to acquire 1 oz Silver Tombstone Hammered Rounds individually or in bulk. Single rounds come encased in protective plastic flips, while multiples are conveniently housed in acrylic tubes of 20. The hammered finish on both sides adds a distinct tactile quality and visual appeal to each round.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the Silver Tombstone Hammered Rounds, you’ll find the unmistakable Scottsdale Mint mark. The smooth segment of the round features the Scottsdale Lion logo surrounded by the mint’s name, along with details regarding the weight, metal content, and purity. Inscriptions on this side include MADE BY SCOTTSDALE MINT, 1 OZ, and .999 SILVER.
Reverse
Turning to the reverse side, you’ll encounter the prominent inscription of “Tombstone,” complemented by a subtle reference to the round’s hammered finish. Notably, the reverse design pays homage to the historic Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, an iconic clash between lawmen and outlaws that transpired on October 26, 1881, featuring legendary figures like Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. Inscriptions here include TOMBSTONE, HAMMERED, and SILVER.
History
Silver mining was the lifeblood of Tombstone in its early years. The discovery of silver in the area led to a rapid influx of prospectors and settlers, transforming the landscape and economy of the region. Although the mines eventually played out, their legacy is still evident in the towns culture and architecture.
