{{/presale}}James Earle Fraser’s Indian Head nickel design, also known as the Buffalo Nickel, is one of the most iconic designs of any U.S. coin. Over the years, the classic Buffalo Nickel has been reimagined in the form of gold and silver rounds that pay tribute to the original coin issued by the US Mint from 1913 to 1938. These rounds contain the same metal fineness as coins, but they do not have a face value and are not legal tender. Rounds are a popular way for investors and collectors to hold pure precious metals as an investment.
Your order today will contain a sample 1 oz .999 Fine Silver Buffalo round in mint fresh condition, issued by various private mints over various years of issue. These 1 oz Silver Buffalo rounds are a great way to enjoy brand new silver bullion in a timeless design at an affordable premium over silver spot price.
The obverse features James Earle Fraser’s portrait of a Native American chieftain, modeled after the iconic Indian Head design of the 1913 Buffalo Nickel. It’s believed that this design unites the facial features of three Native American chiefs: Two Moons of the Cheyenne, Big Tree of the Kiowa, and Iron Tail of the Lakota Sioux. Inscriptions will vary.
The reverse features a profile view of Black Diamond, the famous 1,550-pound American Bison that once lived at the Bronx Zoo in New York. The great buffalo, which gives this coin its name, is depicted standing on a mound of prairie grass. Inscriptions will vary.
Your Silver Buffalo round will ship in brand new condition. Single rounds ship in an individual plastic flip. Multiples of 20 ship in mint tubes, and multiples of 500 ship in monster boxes.
