The purity of silver and intricate design makes these rounds a great addition to any precious metal collection or investment portfolio. The illustrations on these rounds represent the rich culture and history of the United States.

Obverse

The obverse face of the 1 oz Silver A-Mark Rounds showcases the Liberty Bell. The national treasure is depicted in elaborate detail. Above the Liberty Bell is a scroll, reading Life Liberty Happiness. The passage references the inalienable rights included in the Declaration of Independence. The A-Mark mint logo is featured beneath the bell alongside the silver purity of the round.

Reverse

On the reverse of these rounds, you will see an image of the U.S. national bird. The heraldic eagle is depicted with outstretched wings while holding an olive branch and set of arrows in its talons. A star-spangled shield rests on the birds chest and an arch of stars appears behind the eagle. The rounds weight and silver purity are engraved in a circular border around the eagle with the words LIBERTY SILVER below the eagle.

History

In 1752, London firm commissioned the Liberty Bell. After it arrived in Philadelphia, the bell cracked with its first ring, and was recast twice by local workmen. The second bell was finished in March 1753, and although the bell did not break when it was first struck, it sounded like two coal scuttles being banged together. The third bell was completed by June, and the sound met expectations. Many historians expect the Liberty Bell was one of the bells rung at the Declaration of Independence reading on July 8, 1776.
