Each 1 oz Silver Proof Domed Stackable Plains Bison Round is carefully packaged in a custom plastic capsule for protection. These rounds feature the same design on both sides, with the obverse showcasing a domed, ultra-high-relief image of the bison. On the reverse, the same image is struck in an incuse style, creating a concave field that allows for easy stacking.
Obverse
On the obverse of the Silver Proof Domed Stackable Plains Bison Round, youll find a powerful front-facing image of a Plains bison in a domed, ultra-high-relief strike. Inscriptions include the name of the animal and the identifying hallmarks of the round. These inscriptions read PLAINS BISON and 1 OZ 999 AG.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1 oz Silver Proof Domed Stackable Plains Bison Round features the same bison design, but with an incuse strike that sinks into the surface of the round. This side also includes an O/M mint mark and creates a functional, stackable design.
History
For more than 12,000 years, Indigenous peoples of North America followed the bisons migrations and relied on them for sustenance, shelter, and cultural practices. Unfortunately, the bison population faced a sharp decline in the 1800s due to overhunting and settlement expansion brought by European colonization.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
