Obverse
The obverse design of the Silver NFL Kansas City Chiefs Round highlights the teams logo. The logo shows a red arrowhead with white details, featuring the bold letters KC inside. This arrowhead design has become a lasting symbol of the team since its early years. The inscriptions here include KANSAS CITY CHIEFS and EST. 1960.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1 oz Silver Kansas City Chiefs Round displays the NFLs official shield logo. It includes the leagues initials, a football at the top, and a total of eight stars in two groups of four. These stars are a representation of the four divisions in each conference, the NFC and AFC. Inscriptions here include NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE, EST. 1920, ONE TROY OUNCE, and .999 FINE SILVER.
History
The Chiefs began in 1960 as the Dallas Texans, created by businessman Lamar Hunt as part of the AFL. After securing the AFL championship in 1962, the franchise moved to Kansas City in 1963 and adopted the Chiefs name. The name was selected in a fan contest and paid tribute to Kansas City mayor H. Roe Bartle, who was called Chief.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
