The original Hornets franchise began play in 1988 and stayed in Charlotte until 2002 before relocating to New Orleans. The city received an expansion team in 2004 called the Charlotte Bobcats, which competed until 2013. After the New Orleans franchise became the Pelicans that same year, Charlotte reclaimed the Hornets name in 2014. Now, 1 oz Silver NBA Charlotte Hornets Rounds are available from Provident Metals.

Obverse
The obverse of the Silver NBA Charlotte Hornets Round shows the teams current logo. This design features a forward-facing hornet with outstretched wings and a pointed stinger. The inscriptions include CHARLOTTE HORNETS and EST. 1988.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1 oz Silver NBA Charlotte Hornets Round displays the NBA logo. A player silhouette appears in motion, dribbling inside a vertical rectangle. This emblem has represented the league for over five decades and remains one of the most recognized logos in sports. The inscriptions read OFFICIALLY LICENSED BY THE NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION, NBA, and ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER.
History
After New Orleans rebranded as the Pelicans, the Hornets history from 1988 to 2002 was officially restored to Charlotte. The move gave the team back its original identity, reconnecting it with fans and the franchises earlier achievements.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
