{{/presale}}The Indian Head coin design featured on the Gold Eagle coin from the United States Mint was the final image used on the $10 gold piece that had been in circulation in the United States since 1795. Remaining Indian Head gold coins are difficult to find in beautiful condition, but the design is replicated on silver rounds with regularity. 1 oz Silver Indian Replica Rounds are offered to you today from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The 1 oz Silver Indian Replica Rounds you purchase here today are in brand-new condition from the mint. The rounds are packaged inside of individual protective plastic flips. Orders of multiples ship inside of plastic tubes for 20 rounds.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 1 oz Silver Indian Replica Round, you will find a replica image of the one created for the $10 Gold Eagle circulation coin from the US Mint. This left-profile portrait of Liberty depicts her figure wearing a feathered headdress with the word Liberty on the headband. There are 13 small stars on the top rocker of the design field as well.
Reverse
The reverse of these Silver Indian Replica Rounds includes the original design from the $10 Gold Eagle coin as well. This includes an American bald eagle at rest on its perch. That perch is a sheaf of arrows wrapped in an olive branch. The weight, purity, and metal content are inscribed above with the SilverTowne name below.
History
The designs featured on the obverse and reverse of these 1 oz Silver Indian Replica Rounds come from the $10 Gold Eagle. This circulation gold coin was available from the United States Mint from 1795 to 1804 in two different Turban Head designs. The longest-running was the Liberty Head, or Liberty Coronet, from 1838 to 1907. This Indian Head design was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens at the same time he developed the iconic Liberty $20 Gold Double Eagle design. However, this image lacked the longevity and popularity of the Double Eagle. It was used from 1907 to 1916 and produced only irregularly after than until all gold coin production halted in 1933.
