SilverTowne has created a new silver bar that highlights this familiar flag design with a twistit can be divided into smaller pieces by hand. These 1 oz Silver Divisible American Flag Bars come individually packaged in protective plastic flips. A standout feature of this bar is that it can be separated into smaller sections by handeither two 1/2 oz portions or four 1/4 oz pieces. The back of the bar shows the American flag, and when split, each quarter carries a different part of the flag: one with stars, and the rest with the stripes. Even when divided, each piece includes its own set of hallmarks and the SilverTowne mint mark.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the Silver Divisible American Flag Bar, youll see key identifying details and the SilverTowne mint mark. Each quarter-ounce piece displays this information in a vertical format. Youll find the weight, metal type, purity, and mint information clearly listed on every section.
Reverse
The reverse of the 1 oz Silver Divisible American Flag Bar carries a full image of todays American flag. Since 1818, only the stars on the flag have changed as more states joined. The 50th and final star was added in 1960 when Hawaii entered the Union.
History
In the early years of the United States, changes to the flag followed each new state. At first, both stars and stripes were added, but by 1795, that created a cluttered look. To fix this, Congress passed the Flag Act of 1818. From that point on, the flag would always have thirteen stripes for the original colonies, and stars would be added for new states on each Independence Day.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
