{{/presale}}Ethereum is one of a handful of competitors to Bitcoin within the crypto currency market. While Bitcoin is the oldest crypto currency and has the largest market capitalization, it by no means dominates all elements of the industry. Ethereum can be considered a major competitor to Bitcoin due in no small part to the flexibility of its blockchain technology when compared to that of Bitcoin. Ethereum features in the Crypto Commemorative Series from the Blockchain Mint. Right now, you can get 1 oz Silver Crypto Commemorative Ethereum Rounds online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Provident Metals is happy to offer the new 1 oz Silver Crypto Commemorative Ethereum Round to you for purchase online from the Blockchain Mint. Each round comes in brand-new condition with individual and multiple packaging options available. A single round will ship in a protective plastic flip. Multiples of 20 will ship inside of an acrylic tube. Multiples of 500 rounds will ship in boxes with 25 separate 20-round tubes. Please note, we do not guarantee a specific date mark on the reverse. These dates may match or vary if you buy several.
Obverse
On the obverse side of 1 oz Silver Crypto Commemorative Ethereum Rounds is an image of the logo for Ethereum. The logo is in the shape of an octahedron, a symbol that originated in the Indian subcontinent as part of the Heart Chakra. Associated with love and compassion, it can also be associated with energy and self-reflection.
Reverse
The reverse field of the Silver Crypto Commemorative Ethereum Round comes with a common design element used across the Crypto Commemorative Series. This design is meant to reflect the physical computing hardware behind processors, such as those that run blockchain systems powering crypto currencies. This design was created for the first-ever silver round with a crypto design theme and continues to be popular in modern releases. This field includes both the date mark and the identifying hallmarks.
History
Ethereum was proposed by founder Vitalik Buterin, a programmer, in 2013. A larger group of developers, including Buterin, got together in 2014 to work on building the Ethereum platform and were able to launch it as a result of crowdfunding as the primary financial source for the work. Ethereum launched in July 2015 with 72 million pre-mined coins available, a figure that represents roughly 68% of the available Ether tokens today.
Ethereum is more than just a crypto currency platform. You can complete financial transactions using the Ethereum software platform, including Bitcoin, but there is so much more that can be done, such as creating and hosting apps. Ethereum is the most actively-used blockchain and is so popular that companies such as Microsoft, HSBC, and Barclays have found uses for it within their systems.
