{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}Germania Mint has earned attention for silver programs that lean into the characters and legends of Germanic mythology. First released in 2023, the Witchcraft Series explores women and the positions they were believed to hold in Germanic traditions of witchcraft. The second design in this series showcases the Herbalist. At the moment, 1 oz Silver Antique 2025 Witchcraft Herbalist Rounds are available from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
All 1 oz Silver Antique 2025 Witchcraft Herbalist Rounds offered here arrive inside protective capsules and include Certificates of Authenticity with matching serial numbers. As the second issue of the Witchcraft Series, this design is also available in other formats, including a 1 oz BU strike and an ultra-high relief version. The antique edition has a weathered, aged finish across the surface, while select elements are enhanced with a thin layer of 24-karat gold.
Obverse
On the obverse of the Silver Antique 2025 Witchcraft Herbalist Round, the Herbalist is shown as the main figure. She stands in the forest holding a wooden staff, a nod to her reliance on nature and its steady strength. Ratatosk, the mythical squirrel associated with Yggdrasil, appears nearby as a trusted helper. Gilded accents stand out on parts of her clothing, the edge of her hood, and the top of her staff. The inscriptions include HERBALIST.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 1 oz Silver Antique Witchcraft Herbalist Rounds is the seal of the Germania Mint. The double-headed eagle is presented within a natural setting, reflecting the environment from which the Herbalist is believed to draw her power. Runes frame the design around the edge, symbolizing protection, harmony, and well-being. The inscriptions read GERMANIA, 1 OZ AG 9999, 2025, and 5 MARK.
History
Within Germanic mythology, herbalists were often viewed as people who worked in a space shared by healing and the supernatural. Making herbal cures might include spoken chants, gathering or preparing plants at certain times tied to lunar cycles, and calling on old deities or spirits of the natural world. This idea of blending remedy and ritual helps shape the story behind the Herbalist design.
