Obverse
For the obverse field of the 1 oz Silver 2017 World Money Fair Commemorative Panda Round, the Chinese Mint features a design of the Berlin Cathedral. The city of Berlin plays host to the World Money Fair on a regular basis. Inscriptions on this face of the coin are in Mandarin and English, with the English inscription reading World Money Fair Berlin 2017. If you look closely, you will notice each round has its serial number stamped onto the surface of the obverse below the image of the cathedral.
Reverse
The reverse field features a Giant Panda, an unofficial symbol of the Peoples Republic of China, with a Eurasian brown bear standing on its hind legs reaching toward the panda. The bear is the official symbol of the City of Berlin, the host site for the 2017 World Money Fair. This side of the 1 oz Silver 2017 World Money Fair Commemorative Panda Round also features replicated coin dies that were created by the Otto Beh Company, based in Germany, for use in the creation of Chinese coins in 1897 and 1898.
