{{/presale}}While many gold investors choose to purchase gold bars, another lesser-known option is the gold round. The round features the same quality as the bar, but also usually has a unique design to go along with it. The Engelhard Prospector round in this listing is a great example. With its high purity levels and iconic imagery, it perfectly combines artistry with investment-grade bullion. Provident Metals currently has 1 oz Gold Prospector Rounds available to you for purchase online.
Round Highlights:
When you order 1 oz Gold Prospector Rounds in this online listing, they will arrive to you in a sealed assay card. These cases store and protect your round and also include assay certification details on the reverse side. This guarantees that each round was inspected by a professional assayer to ensure they meet 24 karat gold standards.
Obverse
The obverse of 1 oz Gold Prospector Rounds depicts a prospector panning for gold. The prospector has a beard and is dressed in classic Western attire as he searches for his latest treasure. The obverse also contains a beaded decorative pattern along the edge, as well as inscriptions that read USA, THE AMERICAN GOLD PROSPECTOR.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 1 oz Gold Prospector Rounds, youll see the standard Engelhard brand logo. This consists of a stylized circle design with the letter E in the center. Additional reverse features include a pair of stars and a beaded arrangement along the outer rim. Hallmark inscriptions are also included that read ENGELHARD, 24 KARAT, ONE TROY OUNCE FINE GOLD, 999.9 PURE.
History
In 1891, Charles Engelhard emigrated to the US from Germany. Engelhard began his career as a foreign sales agent for a platinum company. After obtaining equity positions in a number of other precious metals companies, the ambitious Engelhard managed to unite them as a single brand in 1902. Thus, the Engelhard corporation was born. Engelhard remained a leader in the precious metals industry for over a century until the company was purchased by BASF in 2006.
