History

Over the years, Diwali has evolved into a widely celebrated festival, not only among Hindus but across various religions and cultures throughout the Indian subcontinent. Traditional rituals like lighting oil lamps, offering prayers (pujas), and sharing sweets are important parts of the celebration, alongside more modern elements like festive lights, fireworks displays, and large gatherings. The festival has even gained international recognition, with Diwali celebrations happening in major cities around the world. This global recognition showcases the growing significance of Diwali as a symbol of Indian culture and heritage.
