Before the Statue of Liberty stood as a beacon of freedom and democracy, the figure of Columbia inspired early American Colonists in their quest for independence from British rule. American Reserve honors this legacy with the Columbia Goddess bullion series, featuring gold that is mined, refined, and minted in the United States. Provident Metals now offers the 1 oz Gold American Reserve Columbia Goddess Bars.

Highlights:

  • Packaged in a protective blistercard!
  • Crafted with gold mined and refined in America!
  • Beautiful Columbia Goddess design!
  • Contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • Obverse includes the American Reserve brand logo.
  • Reverse shows Columbia with a torch and the American flag.

Each 1 oz Gold American Reserve Columbia Goddess Bar available at Provident Metals is individually sealed in a blistercard for safekeeping. The gold in these bars is sourced from American mines and refined by Asahi Refining USA at their Utah facility. The final minting process takes place in Miami, Florida, where Asahi transforms the refined gold into these exquisite bullion bars.

Obverse

The obverse of the Gold American Reserve Columbia Goddess Bar features the American Reserve logo, with the initials AR interlaced against a textured background. This side also includes the bar’s identifying hallmarks. Inscriptions read AMERICAN RESERVE, FINE GOLD, 9999, 1 OZ, and crossed pick axes.

Reverse

The reverse of 1 oz Gold Columbia Goddess Bars, designed by Joel Iskowitz, showcases Columbia holding a torch high in her right hand while draped in the American flag. The torch’s light shines radiant rays across the bar’s surface, creating a striking visual. Inscriptions include MINED & MADE IN AMERICA and the JI initials of Iskowitz.

History

For over a century, Columbia was a prominent symbol of American ideals, appearing in coins, paintings, sculptures, and political cartoons. The name “Columbia” was used for the nation’s capital (District of Columbia) and numerous other American landmarks and institutions. Her significance declined in the early 20th century, especially after the unveiling of the Statue of Liberty in 1886, which gradually took over many of the symbolic roles once held by Columbia.
