{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The Texas Mint has earned a solid reputation for creating gold rounds that pair high levels of purity with designs inspired by Texas heritage. These rounds are struck in .9999 fine gold and often highlight symbols closely tied to the Lone Star State. Their straightforward designs and quality appeal to both collectors and those adding gold to their portfolios. Right now, 1 oz Gold 2026 State Capitol Rounds from Texas Mint are available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 1 oz Gold 2026 State Capitol Round offered here comes packaged in a plastic capsule. These rounds feature a reverse proof finish, where the design elements appear mirrored against frosted background fields. The obverse also includes a textured look within the outline of the state of Texas, adding a subtle visual detail.
Obverse
On the obverse of the Gold 2026 State Capitol Round, you will notice the outline of Texas with a textured background. Positioned in front of this is the Lone Star, which stands out as the focal point. Today, the symbol can be found across the state on official seals, flags, and many everyday items, continuing to reflect Texas pride. The inscriptions include TEXAS, PRECIOUS METALS, and 2026.
Reverse
For the reverse of the 1 oz Gold State Capitol Round, the design features the Texas State Capitol Building. Located in Austin, this structure reaches 308 feet in height, making it taller than the US Capitol building. Completed in 1888, it was constructed using sunset red granite from Marble Falls, Texas, giving the building its distinctive color. The inscriptions read .9999 GOLD and ONE TROY OZ.
History
The Lone Star has been associated with Texas for generations. It first gained widespread use during the Texas Revolution and later became a central element of the Republic of Texas flag in 1839. Even earlier, the single star appeared on banners and military markings during the fight for independence from Mexico in 1835 and 1836, symbolizing unity and determination.
