Right now, you can buy 1 oz Copper Statue of Liberty Rounds online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of 1 oz Copper Statue of Liberty Rounds, each product you receive comes in brand-new condition from SilverTowne. The rounds are available individually inside of protective plastic flips or in multiples of 16 and 400. The multiples of 16 ship in a mint tube, while the multiples of 400 ship in a box that includes a total of 25 tubes of 16 rounds each.
Obverse
On the obverse side of each 1 oz Copper Statue of Liberty Round is the vision of the Statue of Liberty. This stirring rendition brings you face-to-face with Lady Liberty as she stands wearing her crown with her right hand held high in the air. Liberty holds her torch high in the air as a light for the world leading those in distress to calmer shores where a land of opportunity awaits. Her image is surrounded by a circle of 13 stars, one star for each of the original American Colonies that broke away from the United Kingdom to form the United States of America.
Reverse
The reverse images on the 1 oz Copper Statue of Liberty Rounds are used on a wide range of copper rounds from SilverTowne. The American bald eagle flexes its wings with its back to the viewer. The initials USA are included in the field beneath two horizontal lines and a single star below it. Inscriptions include Copper, .999 Fine 1 AVDP Ounce. There is also a small SilverTowne mint mark at the bottom of the design rim.
History
The Statue of Liberty was designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and had its metal framework created by Gustave Eiffel, the same man behind the famed Eiffel Tower in Paris. Liberty is based on the Roman goddess Libertas and was dedicated on October 28, 1886.
