If you are looking for unique copper rounds that feature designs from classic United States Mint circulation currency, look no further than the latest series from Art Bar Mint. In this series, copper rounds are transformed into artwork featuring banknote designs from Americas past. Today, you can purchase the 1 oz Copper $10 Banknote Round from Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Individual rounds ship in plastic flips, multiples of 10-20 ship in mint tubes, and multiples of 500 ship in boxes.
  • Features the image of the $10 Eagle Certificate from the United States Mint.
  • Comes in brand-new condition.
  • Each round contains 1 AVDP oz of .999 pure copper.
  • Privately minted in the United States of America.

Buffalo used to roam the land of this great nation, and they are one of the most iconic native species of North America. For this reason, the United States used buffalo on a lot of the coinage they produced over the years.

Obverse

The image Columbia is featured on the obverse between two Roman-styled pillars. Columbia is a female personification of the United States, as the term was the historical name given to the Americas and the New World. Columbia was one of the most popular images of the United States until the Statue of Liberty was erected in 1886.

Reverse

On the reverse of these rounds, you will notice the image of a bison. This majestic creature is one of the largest native animal species in North America. While these large beasts used to freely roam the plains, the species is considered ecologically extinct in most of the country, as they are only found in the wild at national parks and other protected wildlife areas.

History

The United States has had a $10 bill since 1861. The current design features the image of Alexander Hamilton, who was the first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. On the reverse side of these bills, you will see the U.S. Treasury Building. However, past designs, like the 1901 edition, have featured the American Bison and the figure Columbia in Roman style.
