One of the most affordable ways to invest in silver is to purchase secondary market products. While the premiums are lower on these items due to the potential condition of any given piece, the purity of the silver and its weight remain unchanged. Additionally, buying silver in larger portions like 1 Kilo weights is more affordable on a price-per-ounce basis than continually buying several bars in a smaller weight. Right now, you can get 1 Kilo Silver Bars from Matthey Garrett online at Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Arrives with a shipping box!
  • Produced originally by Matthey Garrett!
  • Contains 1 Kilo, 32.15 Troy oz, of .999 pure silver.
  • Obverse features inscriptions identifying the bar and its weight, purity, and metal content.
  • Secondary market items.

With your purchase of the 1 Kilo Silver Bar in this product listing, you receive your bars individually. Most will ship with protective material inside of a shipping box unless the original packaging for the bar is still available. These 1 Kilo Silver Bars are available from the secondary market.

A secondary market silver bar is one that was previously owned and, in many cases, removed from its original packaging. These bars have been purchased back and available for resale now. The condition of secondary market bars can vary, with many showing at least a minimal amount of wear and tear.

Obverse

On the obverse of the 1 Kilo Silver Bars from Matthey Garrett are simple inscriptions that identify the mint of issue, as well as the weight, purity, and metal content of the bar. These bars are cast silver bars and have a blank reverse. Each one looks like a traditional silver bar with rough, rustic appeal.

History

Johnson Matthey has a long history that dates to the mid-19th century when it became the official assayer for the Bank of England. Matthey Garrett operated in Australia in the 1960s and 1970s producing silver bullion bars and medals as an Australian subsidiary of the larger Johnson Matthey precious metals brand.
