When it comes to buying gold online, there are two main options for those looking at gold bars. Minted ingots have sharp, refined shapes and often boast intricate design elements. Cast gold bars, on the other hand, offer rustic visuals and basic shapes inspired by the refining processes that have occurred for thousands of years. Right now, you can buy 1 Kilo Gold Bars from Asahi Refining online at Provident Metals.

Designs

On the obverse side of the 1 Kilo Gold Bar from Asahi Refining, you will find a number of identifying markers for both the mint and the product itself. The stylized logo of Asahi is featured at the top, followed by Asahi Refining USA. The center of the design element is blank on this side of the bar, with 1 Kilo, Fine Gold, 9999 below that. At the very bottom of the design field is a unique serial number assigned to each bar.

The reverse face of 1 Kilo Gold Bars is left blank on purpose. Traditional refining processes for cast gold bars result in only one face of the bar being accessible to stampers during the cooling process. As a result, the inscriptions that identify the bar are only stamped onto one side.

History

Asahi Refining was founded in Japan and has a history of refining precious metals that dates back 200 years. The company is currently headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and has a footprint that includes sites in South America and North America. Asahis expansion into North America occurred in 2016.

That year saw Asahi Refining buy out the facilities of London-based Johnson Matthey after the latter company decided to exit the precious metals industry. Asahi purchased three North American locations and now operates facilities in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Miami, Florida, in the United States, as well as a location in Toronto, Canada.
