{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}North View Products has released a new lineup of gold and silver bullion that explores the idea of wealth through physical assets. These products feature the familiar United States dollar symbol (USD), calling attention to the difference between paper currency and the real value found in precious metals. The design serves as a reminder that long-term value rests with the metal itself. Today, Provident Metals offers 1/4 oz Silver Money Gram Cards from North View Products for purchase.
Highlights:
Each 1/4 oz Silver Money Gram Card is packaged in protective plastic. The card is designed with visual elements only on the obverse side, while the reverse remains smooth and blank. The imagery emphasizes the concept of real wealth by placing the dollar symbol onto a piece of solid silver.
Design
The obverse design of Silver Money Gram Cards features the well-known dollar sign ($), which has roots that may trace back to the Spanish peso, often abbreviated as Ps. Over time, the P and S were written together, merging into the single-character symbol we know today. This stylized emblem is centered on the cards front, while the reverse side contains no added design. Inscriptions on the obverse read MONEY GRAM, 1/4 TROY OUNCE, 999 SILVER, and the NVP mint mark.
History
Silver once held a key role in international finance until the 1871 introduction of the gold standard in Germany prompted a global move away from silver and gold-based systems. Although silver coins stayed in circulation into the 20th century, rising silver prices in the 1960s meant the coins were worth more for their metal content than their face value, leading to a shift toward base metal alternatives.
