{{/presale}}KOMSCO issues the popular 1/10 oz Gold South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallions with special packaging each year. Not only is the use of an assay card package special in the series, but so too is the division of the mintage between various colorized assay cards. Once again in 2019, KOMSCO uses red, white, blue, and black assay cards with even allotments of gold medals. Right now, you can buy 1/10 oz Gold 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallions online at Provident Metals with the blue assay card.
Highlights:
If you purchase the 1/10 oz Gold 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallions available through this Provident Metals, the gold bullion medal you receive comes packaged in KOMSCOs special blue assay card. The card itself has a stylized rendition of Do ggae bi on one side and the Certificate of Authenticity information on the other side of the card. KOMSCO issued 5,000 of these 1/10 oz gold medals in 2019, with 1,250 each spread across four colorized assay cards. In addition to these blue assay cards, 1,250 medals each are packaged in white, black, and red cards.
Obverse
In the obverse design element of the 1/10 oz Gold 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallions, KOMSCO features the image of Do ggae bi on the surface of Chiwoo Cheonwangs battle shield. The grotesque appearance of this figure is rumored to have the power to keep evil forces at bay. Inscriptions on this face of the medallions read KOMSCO, 2019 Fine Gold 999, Republic of Korea, and 1/10 Clay.
Reverse
For the reverse field of the 1/10 oz Gold 2019 South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medallions, KOMSCO features a fourth new image of Chiwoo. This years design captures the God of War basking the glow of victory. With his helmet removed, he stands examining the field of battle with his shield resting at his right side and his left hand clutching his sword as it rests on its tip.
History
KOMSCOs Chiwoo Cheonwang Series debuted in 2016. The series initially offered only 1 oz silver and 1 oz gold options. In 2017, a 1/10 oz gold option was added and subsequent years have seen 2 oz and 10 oz silver medals introduced as well. Each year, the designs on the reverse are the same regardless of silver or gold.
